Check in attendees with QR scanning

Matter Tickets has a built-in QR scanner for checking in attendees at the door. All you need is a phone or tablet with a camera — no dedicated hardware required.

Getting to the scanner

From the organizer dashboard, click Scan tickets in the navigation. Select your event from the list and you're ready to scan.

Scanning a ticket

Point your camera at the attendee's QR code — shown in their confirmation email or on the ticket detail page. The scanner reads it instantly.

Green — valid ticket, check-in recorded.

Red — invalid ticket (wrong event, cancelled, or already scanned).

If a ticket has already been scanned, the scanner shows when it was first checked in so you can decide how to handle it.

Manual check-in

If a QR code won't scan (low battery, cracked screen), you can find the attendee in the Attendees list and check them in manually from there using the per-ticket action menu.

Bulk check-in

From the Attendees tab, select multiple people and check them all in at once. Useful for groups or pre-arrivals.

Undo a check-in

Made a mistake? From the Attendees list, open the action menu on a ticket and choose Undo check-in to mark it as not yet scanned.
