Add your event to Squarespace
If you have a Squarespace website, you can send visitors straight to your tickets or let them buy without leaving your site. Everything you need is on your event's Share page.
Find your links and embed codes
- Open your event from the organizer dashboard
- Click Share in the left sidebar (or Put this event on your website on the event overview)
- Copy the link or snippet you want to use
The Share page only shows these options once your event is published.
Option 1: Add a button (works on every Squarespace plan)
This is the simplest option and works no matter which Squarespace plan you're on.
- In Squarespace, open the page you want to edit and click Edit
- Click Add Block and choose Button
- Set the button text to something like "Get Tickets"
- Paste your Event page link from the Share page as the button's link
- Save
Visitors who click the button go to your event page on Matter Tickets to buy.
Option 2: Show the checkout on your page
This puts the full ticket checkout directly on your Squarespace page, so visitors pick tickets and pay without leaving your site.
- On the Share page, copy the Inline checkout embed snippet
- In Squarespace, click Edit on your page, then Add Block and choose Code
- Paste the snippet, make sure the mode is set to HTML, and save
Code blocks show a placeholder while you're editing. Save and view your live page to see the checkout.
Option 3: Add a popup "Get Tickets" button
The Buy Button embed adds a "Get Tickets" button to your page. Clicking it opens checkout in a small popup window. Add it the same way as Option 2: paste the snippet into a Code block.
Which Squarespace plans support code?
Options 2 and 3 use custom code, which Squarespace only allows on some plans. If the Code block won't let you save the snippet, or nothing shows up on your live page, use Option 1. It works on every plan.
Keeping it up to date
All three options always reflect your current event. If you change prices, add ticket types, or tickets sell out, your Squarespace page updates automatically. You never need to re-paste anything.
