Refunds and cancellations

Refund policies on Matter Tickets are set by individual event organizers — not by Matter Tickets itself. The refund policy for your event is shown on the event page before you buy.

How to request a refund

Contact the event organizer directly. Their contact information is on the event page. Reference your order number (in your confirmation email) to help them find your purchase quickly.

How refunds work

If the organizer approves your refund, the money is returned to the original payment method used at checkout. Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your bank.

Refunds can only be issued to the card or account used to pay — the organizer cannot send the money to a different card or via another method.

Can I cancel my own ticket?

Some events allow self-service cancellations. If the organizer has enabled this, you'll see a cancellation option in your order confirmation email or on your ticket page. If that option isn't there, you'll need to contact the organizer directly.

Event cancelled or postponed

If an organizer cancels their event, they are responsible for issuing refunds to all ticket holders. Contact the organizer if you haven't heard from them.

I haven't received my refund

If you were told a refund was processed but haven't seen it yet:

  1. Allow at least 5–10 business days from when the organizer confirmed it
  2. Check with your bank — sometimes refunds post to your statement later than expected
  3. Contact the organizer again if it has been more than 10 business days
