Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes — the simplest way is to forward your confirmation email to the person attending in your place.

Each ticket has a unique QR code. Whoever shows that QR code at the door gets in. Forward your confirmation email to the person going, and they're set. They don't need a Matter Tickets account.

One important thing: once a QR code is scanned, it's marked as used and won't scan again. Don't send your ticket to multiple people — only one person can use it.

What if the organizer needs the name to match?

Some events check ID against the ticket name. If that's the case for your event, the organizer will have stated it in the event description or ticket details. Contact the organizer directly to arrange a name change — their contact info is on the event page.

What if you want a refund instead?

If you can't attend and would rather get your money back than transfer the ticket, check the event's refund policy (shown on the event page) and contact the organizer. Learn more about refunds.
