I was charged but didn't get a confirmation email
This is frustrating — here's what to check first, and what to do if those don't resolve it.
Step 1: Check your spam folder
Confirmation emails occasionally land in spam, especially if this is your first time buying from an event on Matter Tickets. Search for "Matter Tickets" or the event name in all folders.
Step 2: Confirm the charge actually went through
Check your bank or card statement. The charge will appear as "Matter Tickets" or "Stripe." If there's no charge, the payment may have failed silently and your ticket wasn't issued — try purchasing again.
Step 3: Check for a typo in your email address
At checkout, it's easy to mistype your email. If the confirmation went to a slightly wrong address (e.g. gnail.com instead of gmail.com), it won't arrive no matter how long you wait.
Step 4: Log in if you have an account
If you created a Matter Tickets account with the same email you used to check out, log in and go to mattertickets.com/tickets. Your order should appear there even if the email didn't come through.
Step 5: Contact the organizer
The event organizer can look up your order by name or email and resend your confirmation. Their contact details are on the event page.
If you believe there's a billing error
If you were charged but the organizer confirms no order exists for you, contact us at hello@mattertickets.com with your name, email, and the approximate charge amount and date.
