Donate a portion of ticket sales to charity
Matter Tickets is built around the idea that events can give back. When you create an event, you can direct a percentage of every ticket sale to a charity of your choice.
Setting it up
When creating or editing your event, you'll find a Charity giving section in the event information form. Enter:
- Charity name — the name shown to buyers on your event page
- Percentage — what portion of each ticket sale goes to that charity (e.g. 10%)
This percentage is deducted from your revenue, not added on top of the ticket price. Buyers see your charitable commitment on the event page, which often encourages more people to buy.
How it works
At checkout, the charity percentage is calculated from the net ticket revenue after platform fees. The amount is tracked per order and visible in your event overview.
The actual donation transfer to the charity is handled by you — Matter Tickets displays and tracks the commitment but does not transfer funds to charities on your behalf. We recommend setting up your own donation process with your chosen charity.
Transparency with buyers
Your event page displays the charity name and percentage prominently. Buyers can see the impact their ticket purchase has before they check out.
