Connect Stripe to receive payouts

Matter Tickets uses Stripe to process payments. You need to connect a Stripe account before you can sell paid tickets.

Setting up Stripe

  1. Go to Stripe Connect in your organizer dashboard
  2. Click Connect with Stripe
  3. Follow the onboarding steps — you'll either sign in to an existing Stripe account or create a new one
  4. Complete Stripe's identity verification (required by Stripe for payouts)

Once connected, ticket revenue flows directly to your Stripe account.

When do I get paid?

Stripe handles your payout schedule. By default, Stripe pays out on a standard rolling basis (typically 2 days after a charge in most countries). You can adjust your payout schedule from your Stripe dashboard.

What Stripe processes

  • Credit and debit card payments at checkout
  • Refunds (processed back to the original payment method)

Fees

Matter Tickets charges a platform fee on each transaction. Stripe also charges its own payment processing fee. Both are deducted before the remainder is paid out to you.

You can see the exact fee breakdown for each order in your Stripe dashboard.

Free events

Free events don't require a Stripe connection. You only need Stripe for events where money changes hands.
