What are the fees?
Platform fee
Matter Tickets charges a per-ticket platform fee on paid ticket sales. The fee is a percentage of the ticket price plus a small fixed amount per ticket. You can see the exact current rates on the organizers page.
Free tickets have no fee — for you or the buyer.
Who pays the fee
As an organizer, you choose:
Pass it on to buyers — the fee is added on top of your ticket price at checkout. A $20 ticket might show as $21.80 for the buyer. Your payout is the full $20.
Absorb it yourself — buyers see only your ticket price. The fee comes out of your revenue. A $20 ticket pays you $18.20 (for example).
You set this preference per event in your payment settings.
Stripe processing fee
Stripe charges its own payment processing fee separately. This is deducted by Stripe before funds reach your account. Stripe's fees vary by country and card type — check stripe.com/pricing for current rates.
No hidden fees
There are no monthly fees, no setup costs, no fees for creating an account, and no fees for free events. You only pay when paid tickets are sold.
What buyers see
Before completing a purchase, buyers see a clear breakdown of the ticket price and any applicable booking fee. Nothing is added after checkout.
